Black History Month: Ask Cindy’s Compelling Influence For Excellence

Madam C.J. Walker – African American Entrepreneur-Philanthropist-Political & Social Activist (12/23/1867- 5/25/1919)

The driving influence for my entrepreneurial journey. Madam Walker developed & marketed cosmetics & hair care products. Resolutely, she went door to door to begin her enterprising journey. Many minority businesses are contractors attempting to make a better mousetrap within a specific industry. I chose the cleaning & maintenance industry because, in my view, clean didn’t appear to mean clean commercially or residentially! Fact: After spending billions of dollars annually on cleaning supplies, energetic training, and supervision in the cleaning & maintenance industry, all of us are still witnessing dirty circumstances. Why is this the reality? So, Cindy Inman aka Ask Cindy, energetically jumped into the industry to make a visible difference.

In like manner, I also went door to door and even climbed through fences in commercial construction developments to introduce my business with my storied determination. Yes, it takes all of that effort & more! To date, albeit with a tiny footprint in this enormous industry, Ask Cindy continues to produce excellent cleaning outcomes. Excitedly, “clean” does ignite our basic human senses! Respectfully, my experience-driven cleaning activity presents curated instructions for cleaning outcomes that are striking for residential & commercial dwellings. Accordingly, the Ask Cindy brand for clean spaces continues to be trusted, celebrated, & respected. I’m grateful that “— preparation meets opportunity—” this has been a reality throughout my business journey.

Reading & studying Madame C.J. Walker’s journey allowed me to realize that when you believe from deep within your soul, transforming something from wrong to right, this will make a visible difference for many. Her signature cosmetics & hair care product brands enhanced women’s lives & likewise, Ask Cindy uplifts homes & offices with clean. What does clean mean? Existing spaces are free from dirt, soil, germs, pungent odors, and unsightliness. I know that purposely selecting the right tools & solutions, along with well-thought-out cleaning actions, will always yield thoroughly clean outcomes & eliminate mistakes related to cleaning tasks.

A Moment of Gratitude

I’m genuinely grateful for National Black History Month shining a dedicated spotlight on all of our African-American-Greats & their extraordinary accomplishments. As we continue to read & remember their varying successes, including awareness, comprehension & determination, we witness them all leading with purpose. Thus, honoring our African-American-Greats spotlights intent-driven excellence against all odds. Aptly, Ask Cindy & my associates continue to study numerous models of accomplishment wholeheartedly because excellence is always distinguishing.
